Ruckus Roboticus the most famous DJ you've probably never heard of has been obsessed with Cat Power's "Free" ever since he played it on his college radio station in 2003. Revisiting this classic 12 years later he began with a reedit; which evolved into a remix; and finally into a fullblown cover version. But the real attraction of this version is not Ruckus's hypnotic chillwave meets disco house beat but the emotive and angelic vocals of relatively unknown yet supremely talented Gina Glover. Discovered in the far reaches of the Internet by Mr. Roboticus she delivers a goosebump inducing rendition of "Free". Rounding out the single is a stunning jawdropping remix by techhouse maestro Louis Ng. Simply brilliant from start to finish
